About Educating Safely

Educating Safely was originally founded at the request of Somerset’s Academies with Samantha Tant being a former “Principal Health & Safety Officer” within Somerset Council from the experienced “Schools Team” who has been providing dedicated health and safety support to Somerset and South West schools for over 30 years. Since then, we have expanded our reach (and team) to serve educational settings across the wider South West region.

As the regions leaders and renowned experts in health & safety within the Education Sector, our exemplary and highly pragmatic service speaks for itself.

Your insurers will often undertake insurance audits – as part of this, they will ask for the qualifications and status of your main “Competent Person”. Unlike some competitors, we maintain “Competent status” within all RPA (Government backed: Risk Protection Arrangement) health & Safety audits as Chartered Professionals of IOSH. This is an important aspect when choosing your preferred supplier for health & safety. We are happy to forward their “Competent person” requirement document upon request.

Other Professional Services: For (mainly) moral reasons, we do not engage with additional suppliers or partners on your behalf or attempt to profit from you whilst coordinating support from other related organisations – however, we do work in partnership with a number of organisations who are known to be experts in their own fields of work and can recommend, from experience.
